I would love to tell all how to fix these problems. I would love to stop the killing on both sides. I know I play a part. And yet at the same time I realize just a part. I am not the Palestinian, Israeli, or Iraqi cause. I have no claim to the worlds deepest insight. I have words trying to do justice to my eyes. But they will never be. I live this day in my home. Where else am I? Most urgent and important at this moment is the face I see before me. What else will there ever be? I will try to slide away from ideology, not because I have lost conviction...only that I realize that if I stay caught up in my own view of what is, I will miss what is right in front of me. Since no particular view was ever meant to be held onto. Only what is now. And I believe that if I can, I will be better off.
